How do Natural Refrigerants compare to Synthetic Refrigerants regarding performance
I am heading towards 67-years old. I was a teenager when Peter Huber began using natural refrigerants (NR) in Huber machines. Now, all of Huber’s range is available with NR. One of Huber’s most popular floor standing Unistats, the “Unistat 510w” is available using NR, the refrigerant R1270. We tested this unit and compared the results with a case study that we carried out earlier with a Unistat 510w (with a 6kW heater) that used a synthetic refrigerant, R452a. Both tests were carried out using a Chemglass 100-litre reactor under “Process” control with a sensor located in the process mass. The results demonstrate that R1270 is more efficient.
| Set point | Unistat 510w H6 (R452a) | Unistat 510w H12 “NR” (R1270) | |
